The European Union is planning a recovery package of 750 billion euros to mitigate the consequences of the COVID -19 pandemic. The aim is a sustainable recovery for the EU. In addition to stimulating the economy, the package focuses strongly on climate change, digitalisation and socio-economic fairness. Welcome to this Finsif webinar that gathers NordicSIF members to hear about the application of the recovery funds and the implications to the investors, especially from the climate perspective.
The first speaker is Mari Pantsar, Director at the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and Co-head of the Finnish working group on Sustainable Recovery. She speaks about the working group’s proposal on how to allocate the funds of the recovery package and what concrete measures to take.
The second keynote speaker is Emelia Holdaway from the Institutional Investor Group on Climate Change. She will comment on the EU plans on sustainable recovery from the investors’ point of view. Are the policymakers doing enough and focusing on the right things? How can investors make an impact themselves?
